Hello, and welcome to our website. Trinity Baptist Church exists to obey the Great Commission, to see believers grow in Him, and to honor and glorify Him in all we do! We pray that our website will help you find out a little more about us, and we look forward to ministering to you and your family.

Dr. C.O. Grinstead, Pastor
Our Staff
Pastor Grinstead and his family moved to Trinity in 1969, and continue to faithfully serve the Lord. He began as the Associate Pastor and served as the first administrator of Trinity Christian Academy upon its' inception in 1970. He became the Senior Pastor of Trinity Ministries in 1980. In 1994, Pastor felt led to start Truth Radio, a ministry of Trinity Baptist Church that reaches some 24 counties in East-Central Alabama. Pastor also has a love for missions and travel. His faithfulness to Biblical preaching is foundational to those that he ministers to.
Pastor & Mrs. Grinstead graduated from Tennessee Temple University in Chattanooga, TN. They were married in 1960 and have three children and nine grandchildren.

Rev. Jerry & Lynn Johnston
Associate Pastor
The Johnstons moved to Trinity in 1987. Bro. Jerry serves as the Associate Pastor in the ministry. He is passionate about the spread of the Gospel and runs the church visitation program. He serves as the Choir Director and Song Leader. He also ministers as a bus driver to bring young people in for our Wednesday ministries. He teaches the Sr. High Bible class at TCA, and hosts the daily morning program 'A New Song for a New Day' on Truth Radio.
Bro. Jerry & Lynn graduated from Hyles Anderson College in Gary, Indiana. They were married in 1979 and have four children and five grandchildren.
Rev. Jeff & Elaine Smith
Associate Pastor
The Smiths came to Trinity in 1997. Bro. Jeff serves as the Youth Pastor. He loves young people and desires to see them live a life fullfilling their potential in Christ. In 2012 he became the Administrator of Trinity Christian Academy. He enjoys coaching volleyball and basketball, and seeks to use sports as a vehicle to strengthen the character of each athlete.
Bro. Jeff & Elaine graduated from Bob Jones University in Greenville, SC. They were married in 1996 and have four children.
